About The Spa and Massage
Elegant treatment beds draped in rich brown fabric and softened with puffy pillows line the beige walls of The Foot Spa, where staff dedicate their talents to foot care. Herbal elements of lingzhi, shenjin, and freshly mowed grass enhance the curative benefits of detoxifying soaks, and smooth hand movements increase the relaxation factor of foot rubs. During reflexology treatments, specialists press their fingers against specific zones of the heel, sole, arch, and toes to increase circulation.

I made an appointment on a Saturday but when i got there i was told i couldn't do the foot detox on the weekend. So i made a Friday evening appointment. After the detox I got the foot massage with hot stones. The massage wasn't terrible but i felt like the gentleman was not a professionally trained masseuse.

The spa did not want to honor the ION DETOX GROUPONS on the weekend and of course it did NOT mention that detail on the disclaimer. The owner "Peter" was called and he kept saying that the GROUPON could not be honored because the "special ion machine" was not at that store on the weekend. Instead of just giving my friend and I a comparable offer, he kept going on and on and telling us to come back another day. After squabbling for a half hour, Peter arrived at the spa and had retrieved the special machine from the "other store."
By the time we got back to the service room we were totally wound up, and to add insult to injury, we were placed into an open room full of other people who were getting full body massages and talking and COUGHING. The most annoying part of the non-private common area was the washing machine and dryer constantly whizzing and buzzing throughout the entire service. There was no attempt wall to mask the noise and it was soooo non-relaxing.
My masseuse was fantastic; super thorough and efficient and by the time she was finished, I had finally relaxed. When she was done we were instructed to put our feet into a tub of water and wires were hooked up to them for the special ION DETOX. I was SURE we were going to get electrocuted, but luckily we did not. My masseuse said something in another language (to my friend's masseuse) and threw something in the water and told us to rest and keep the towels over our eyes.
When we were told that our time was up, the masseuse pointed to the water and said "See? Detox." and walked off with no further explanation of the orange/brown colored water (which was the exact same as my friend's). I suspect the water had been colored by a teabag, as I was rubbing it the entire time with my foot as I "rested." OOPSIE!
If you are looking for a cheap, rub and don't care about ambiance, customer service and no privacy, then you could take your chances and perhaps get a fine rub. But if any of those other things matter to you, I'd go elseware. And the ION DETOX? SKIP IT!
