House, Food and Wine, Lexington

From the street, House Food and Wine looks like someone's house, complete with siding, a front porch, and a mulched garden. The interior is no different. Servers pull rectangular and circular plates from an open kitchen and bring them to tables arranged throughout homey dining rooms. On the plates are thoughtfully presented dishes such as fried green plantains, wild salmon, and whole flank steak served over salad. On weekends, the eatery attracts the brunch crowd with its homemade granola, french toast, and pasta.
