About Descanso Garden Spa

The word jjimjilbang is a term integral to Korean culture. While it literally translates to a "heated indoor area," and most people would recognize it as a sauna, Descanso Garden Spa boasts much more than that. The spa tries to impart the combined sense of community and healing that jjimjilbang creates, with both communal and unisex areas, dry and steam saunas, and hot tubs and pressure-jet pools. The adjoining spa offers facials and massages to prolong the relaxation. And Descanso Garden Spa even offers over 30 different traditional Korean dishes, snacks and smoothies to fully embody the jjimjilbang service.

Great local spa that can get busy on the weekend. I feel happy and satisfied with the quality of this spa. My only complaint was at the time I went the ladies restrooms were not cleaned or supplied but I believe it was only due to the volume of people on the weekend. It’s a lot of work to maintain this spa as clean as it is. I would definitely come again! Hope there is another Groupon soon!

Very clean. Go in the mornings if you want to miss the crowds. I had a full body scrub which was great. Will be going back.

Very clean, nice ! But the sleeping room in not comfy the recliner set. Hope they change for a better one. You can’t sleep in that kind of recliner.
