We had a great time, next time we won't come so hungry since it took a few minutes in between each course but it was so good! We will definitely be back :)

When trying to make a reservation, there was a glitch in their website and no one was available to respond to this issue for several weeks. When we got there, it was not actually Flying Dog beers. The tasting and food was good but the ad was misleading. It was also rather awkward when having to sit around and watch others be served "upgrades." The upgrades would have been more appropriately served at the end if one chose purchase these. The ad was also misleading in the amount of food that was served. Although the quality was good, I am not sure this Groupon was appropriately priced.

I actually felt like the Groupon rate of $35 a person was steep...so I can't imagine anyone paying the full $75 for this! They charge you extra for their specialty items AND $20 for a cheese plate, which we ordered because we were really hungry. It was good, but really, $20? The portions of the tasting are incredibly small, but the beer tasting portions were generous. This is not something I would do again.

Overall I was expecting a lot more from this experience. When I saw Beer and Bacon Tasting I thought there would be a lot more beer and especially bacon. I understand that you can't give a lot of beer since we'll be driving soon but I felt that the beer wasn't as cold as it should be, like it had just been put in some ice before we got there. As for the dishes I had no idea they would be so small and also lack bacon, the reason we came. In all but one of the dishes (I didn't pay and extra $10 for two more small plates) I barely tasted any bacon. I was expecting bacon to be the main part of the dishes since this is a bacon tasting. It felt like the dishes were put together then some bacon was just added later. I found all of the plates to be very small, such as the grilled cheese that I thought it would be something like half a sandwhich instead of a tiny fun size sandwich. Also when the bacon sausage dish came out my girlfriend got a decent size one while mine looked like it was the kid's size (really disappointing). These aren't only my thoughts as my girlfriend thinks the same thing and I overheard other people at my table saying that they were disappointed and had skipped lunch thinking that they would be getting a decent meal. Basically the dishes need to be more about the bacon and also be bigger, and the beer needs to be colder (and getting a little more wouldn't hurt). Also if you are going to be staing at the KOC hall then you need a bigger sign. We could barely find the place because of how tiny the sign was.

Too much money (even with the Groupon) for what you got. I also don't like it when they tried to upsell you as soon as you walked in the door -- 2 more samples for another $20 per person, I think. Left a bad taste in my mouth, and was uncomfortable while those who didn't choose to buy. The tasting portions wer minuscule and both my husband and I came home and had dinner afterwards, because the amount you actually got to eat was so nominal and we were still quite hungry. The location was weird and ugly and as "low rent" as possible. Plastic utensils, one water bottle per table . . . I would not recommend to others -- although the food and beer was fine, everything else detracted from it.
