Small school, probably would not have found without Groupon. So glad that I did. Excellent training, great staff, and they are very attentive to student needs.

Everyone in the building seems to be extremely friendly, the teachers are great and willing to help in any areas a student may have questions on-whether during or after class.

Presenter tells us what to fill in the blanks with - no explanation. Practice test is very helpful but again, no explanation and/or little elaboration. Math problems have no discussion, instructor writes the process and moves on.

Ive taken this class at the Arizona School of Real Estate and Business (ASREB), and after letting the time go beyond the 6 months of being able to take the test, seeing the discounted deal that Arizona Academy of Real Estate was offering, I thought it would be a different learning experience, and I may learn additional things. After taking 3 classes, its obvious that all the company does is uses an instructor to read off of a pre-written script, then tells you what to write down in your study guide, without telling you why you are writing it. The instructor does not teach you very much at all about how Real Estate works, or why it works like it does, unless of course you ask a question. If you ask a question, the instructor that I have had the opportunity of using, encourages you NOT to ask another question, because they make you look stupid in front of the class for asking the question in the first place, as if it were a dumb question. As soon as this class is over, and I have the proper hours, I plan to never use this school again, even if they are offering a discount. I think that by paying the additional $200, you are receiving a much better learning opportunity with ASREB.

More instruction and less "student story telling time" would make the training more effective

From Our Editors

The veteran marketing and real-estate professionals who teach at Arizona Academy of Real Estate frequently update course content to keep students in step with Arizona's real-estate and lending-licensing requirements. In-class or online programs prepare students to market and sell properties or become real-estate brokers who use their skills to assist either buyers or sellers.

Potential mortgage brokers and loan originators learn the ethics, mortgage laws, and secret handshakes necessary to gain bankers' trust, and practicing real-estate and lending agents can update their reservoir of knowledge with continuing-education classes. Once students earn their seller's wings, the academy's list of career partners gives new agents an opportunity to meet with local real-estate leaders and compare smiles.
