Gramskys Sandwiches, Minneapolis

Gramsky's Sandwiches puts family first. They start by literally doing that with their business name. Owner Jannette Nevilles goes by "Gram" to her grandchildren while "-sky" was often added to the end of her daughter's name as a strategy of endearment. Thus, Gramsky's Sandwiches was established and has become a sandwich shop staple. Trademark meals here include:

• Shredded Basil-Chicken: served on a croissant with vegetables, provolone, and garnish.

• Italian Grinder: a classic hoagie with Italian sausage and hamburger coated in red sauce with swiss and a pepper blend.
