About Twin Spirits Distillery

Twin Spirits Distillery embodies old Minneapolis, right down to its historical barn-like building from the 1920s. But nowhere is this old-fashioned charm more evident than in its selection of hand-crafted spirits, which include a gin made with a custom blend of botanicals and a vodka that plays heavily on the tongue's sweetness receptors.

But the distillery isn’t solely a nod to the past. It happily bucks patriarchal tradition by standing as the first one-woman distillery in the state, overseen by Michelle Winchester. But Michelle isn’t just content to rest on her already impressive laurels as a pioneering female distiller. She has plans to bring Twin Spirits even further into the 21st century by expanding the green spaces around the building, overseeing an interactive cocktail room, and eventually opening an additional building that could serve as an events space for the community.

Samples were great and all had not been harsh to drink on their own

We were offered drinks in place of the “tour” which was fair. Staff was great. Cocktails were tasty and well crafted. The only thing that personally bugged me was the political undertone to some names of drinks. When I go out to relax I prefer to not have reminders of the stresses of the world. No big deal. I’d go back anyways!
