I went in showing them pictures of dirty blonde ombre (and I already have dirty blonde roots and previously blonde dyed hair). The stylist dyed my roots dark brown about 2 inches and further highlighted my already blonde hair. Basically I ended up turning my roots darker with no gradient into the blonde. It looks like I need a root job like nobody's business. In the end I told them it was dark and the whole salon tried to tell me it looked good and I tried to believe it might just look better than I really wanted it to, but unfortunately, it looks like I haven't gotten my hair done in like 6 months.
