About Amethyst Performance Horses

An avid rider since the age of 11 and instructor since 16, Lynne Hartman is dedicated to passing on her lifetime of experience working with horse to fledgling jockeys at Amethyst Performance Horses. Lynne tailors her lessons to all levels of riders, from those with an eye toward competition—several of her past students have won awards at the local, state, and national levels—to those who just want to ride for fun, to those who believe they can have more fun on a horse than on the neighborhood cats. The lesson program emphasizes equitation and working with the horse as a team, as well as learning how to groom, saddle, and bridle the horse when out of the saddle. Students have their choice of a wide range of riding styles, including Western, English, dressage, reining, and gaming.

Only got half the time we paid for. Horse stalls were filthy and the communication for scheduling with owner was poor.

Communication for scheduling was a disaster. After leaving a phone message to schedule, I received a text several days later. When we arrived for our 2-hour session, the instructor was not expecting us and only had time for 1 hour for only half our group. We scheduled 1 more hour the next day for the other half of our group. We didn’t get what we paid for. The horse stalls were dirty and unkept.

Do NOT waste your time or money! Owner refuses to return calls, doesn’t confirm location, and shortens the parties by having teens with other obligations running things. Terrible atmosphere!

I bought this for my 25-year-old Juliette who has autism. We arrived at the farm and she was welcomed with open arms. People talk to her and treated her special. She got to meet all the horses feed them apples and was so happy. I can't say enough about the people we met there and the quality of services. If you have an opportunity to go, go! Dr Donna Beegle
