Reptile Super Show, Pomona

Lizards, turtles, and frogs—oh, my. For one weekend of the year, these reptiles (and amphibians) have put aside their biological differences and come together at the Reptile Super Show for a single goal: the promotion of conservation through educational workshops and sales.

More than 700 tables sprawl across 120,000 square feet on the show floor. A stroll through the grounds acquaints guests with both the animals and their respective experts, who can explain how to breed and care for each creature. In addition to selling rare reptiles and amphibians, the vendors carry cages, lights, and supplements. They also stress that the event is not just for diehard "herpers," or reptile enthusiasts. Rather, the expo is open to the public, and welcomes families with children.
