About Cypress Nook

For more than three decades, Cypress Nook Restaurant's owners Isle Wenttengel and Michael Gerike haven't changed much. Adhering to old-world traditions (apparent everywhere from lacy curtains to plates of frankfurters), they maintain their restaurant inside an old stucco house with a menu of rustic Bavarian cuisine. During evenings, the dinner menu catalogs handcrafted spaetzle, knockwurst with German potato salad and kraut, and slices of homemade key lime pie.

Obviously new Ownership. Husband and Wife Team that were there for years are no longer there. Germain Cuisine prepared by 2 Haitian "Chefs" working the Kitchen, seriously? Veal Schnitzel was over an 1`` thick and never pounded! Tasted like shoe leather coated with bread crumbs. German Spaetzle was mushy an was like Mac & Cheese. Potato Pancake was like attempting to eat a tasteless Hockey Puck. The fresh cooked carrots were great though along with our server Bruno. Fortunately they couldn't mess up a Pint of Spaten Octoberfest Beer on Draft. This Restaurant was great and never had a bad experience years ago but even with the Groupon, better off going to McDonalds take out window. Sorry, it was that bad!
