Hidden gem, not what I first expected but was pleasantly surprised! Very relaxed atmosphere and super friendly people. And of course great drinks! Loved learning about Kombucha and supporting a local company! Will be back!

We went on a Saturday and it was a little bit crazy so it took a bit to catch the eye of one of the "bartenders". The guy said that they do 50% of their business on a Saturday so if your looking for a less busy time go during the week. All of their products were great, don't be afraid to take the full tasting of everything, you might find something new to fall in love with.

Earlier is better. It starts to get busy by 4. This is a great value as the growler that comes with the package is refillable. Bring it back for a refill of great cider/ kombucha at a great price.

Urban Farm Fermentory aims to obtain as much of its ingredients from the local community as possible—even its founder, Eli Cayer, is a Maine native. At the Fermentory, juice pressed from Maine apples is allowed to ferment under the direction of yeast that occurs naturally in the air and on the fruit itself, producing a cider that is as tart as it is dry. Raw Maine honey goes into the experimental center’s crisp mead, and its kombucha is sure to please lovers of fermented tea and displease the ghost of Earl Grey. As it expands, the Urban Farm Fermentory is coming to serve as a hub for local artisans, providing a space for enthusiasts to provide workshops in such fields as making lacto-fermented foods such as kimchi, and harvesting mushrooms.
