More signage, perhaps in the entrance. Didn't know where to meet the guides. Had to go inside Redhook Brewery to ask. We saw the Adventura sign, but nothing for Outdoor Adventure Center.

booked a rafting trip in wenatchee for 7/29 and planned our vacation around it. Got a voicemail the night before saying our rafting trip would be changed to a tubing trip due to water levels and that the time would remain the same. Called back that night and the next morning and left several voicemails asking for more details, but got no response. We showed up to the designated meeting point 15 minutes early and nobody was there. Waited in a hot parking lot for 45 minutes, called 3 different numbers 20+ times but all the lines were busy, and voicemails were left unanswered. Found out later they sent an email at 9:30pm night before but didn't call anyone to inform of changed meeting spot.

Awesome experience! Group went for a Bachelor Party, never been rafting before, and our guide Garrett was awesome! Of course, each experience depends on the group of rafters and their willingness to have fun, and also depends on the guide, but based on our experience I highly recommend Garrett (white male, 20-30 years old, glasses, & beard). He took us through great water, joined in on the games, and made it an all-around wonderful experience. The company was smooth and easy during check in/check out, they provided great service, and I will DEFINITELY go back.

Would suggest bringing cash to tip the raft guides, they do a really great job! Also, you can bring snacks/water with you they can put in their dry bag in case you want a snack when you stop part way down. Be prepared to get wet and have lots of fun!

From Our Editors

The Outdoor Adventure Center's wildly experienced guides have led groups off the grid for more than a quarter century, pursuing rugged fun in the scenery and fresh air of mountains, rivers, and coastlines. Explorers at heart, the staff boldly launch kayaks into the ocean around the San Juan Islands and conquer the frothy waters of the scenic Skykomish River, known for its beginner-friendly rapids, migrations of spawning merpeople, pool and drop areas, and breathtaking views of 5,000-foot mountain peaks. Horseback and hiking trips delve into the lush woods, and nature photography excursions pause to celebrate the beauty of the wilderness near Index. The core team of 14 guides takes safety seriously, most with certifications from the American Canoe Association, training in wilderness first aid, CPR, and swiftwater rescue, and life vests tattooed over their chests.
