For slow learners (like me) this place is far better than the rest. They will teach only one complicated move, or sometimes two, per beginner's session. Also, the complicated move is usually an intermediate move at most other places. They also have two instructors, so you can get individual tips if you are making any mistakes, even if you don't know that you are making mistakes.

you do not need to go with a friend or a dance partner. the beginner class is structured so that the ladies move around the circle and everyone dances with a different partner throughout the night. You can learn a lot more when you have a chance to dance with a variety of skillsets. I knew nothing about salsa at the beginning of class and I felt like I could do what we were taught by the end of the hour class.

From Our Editors

The instructors at Del Campo Dance Studio don't just know how to dance, they know how to teach because owners Mike and Gina Del Campo put a large emphasis on education during their training. And it shows as their friendly instructors create a welcoming and supportive environment for all levels of students as they learn salsa, argentine tango, swing, and ballroom-style dances for recreation, weddings, or recreational weddings held at rec centers. Private and group lessons are taught at the studio, which is tucked in The Dance Corner. Pupils can practice form and footwork with a variety of partners as they enjoy the casual atmosphere filled with local club-hoppers and a DJ spinning Latin beats well into the night.
