Although the overall experience was pleasant enough (and the gentleman at the reception desk was extremely professional and welcoming), this Groupon was not as advertised. The actual Groupon explicitly stated that it was valid for your choice of a 30-minute "Pumpkin Peel or C-Vitality Peel" and I reconfirmed the service that I would be receiving in my email when scheduling my appointment (I have several emails from 'Marie- Spa Concierge' reconfirming that I was scheduled for the C-Vitality Peel). Upon arrival, prior to application of the peel, I reconfirmed once again with the esthetician (Eloise) that I'd be receiving the C-Vitality Peel as requested; however, she informed me that I'd be receiving the Pumpkin Peel and that there was not a separate C-Vitality Peel, rather it was a Pumpkin Peel with Vitamin C as one of the ingredients. I would never have purchased the Groupon had I known that it was for a Pumpkin Peel. The Groupon EXPLICITY stated that there was a CHOICE between the two types of peels. This is completely false advertising by the salon. There are so many excellent salons in downtown San Diego and I would definitely go elsewhere. Not recommended.

I've been having facials for years at high-end salons, and this was one of the best! I don't think I've ever been so relaxed on the bed - my esthetician was incredible. I can't wait to go again! Highly recommend.
