The food is inexpensive, but the price matches the portion and the quality is well below spectacular. When I choose to eat out at resturants, my hope is the food is better then what I can make at home. This was not the case for Ali Baba. The food selection was very limited and quite frankly a bit bland.
The server, Patricia, was very friendly but s-l-o-w, s-l-o-w, s-l-o-w. Considering there was only one other family in the restaurant it was surprising how slow everything was. She continuted to apoligize which became annoying. I'm sorry - it will take 5 minutes for me to get back to you to get your order. I'm sorry - I thought we served rootbeer, but we don't. I'm sorry-I was going to bring you pita bread, but they have to warm it up in the kitchen. When it arrived it was cold :(. I'm sorry - Your food is taking long. I'm sorry - the fries will take longer because you ordered the very last serving. I'm sorry - I didn't subtract your Groupon from the bill. I'm sorry - the cash register doesn't like me. I'm sorry - I have to give you change in pennies because I don't have dimes in the drawer.
The owners of the restaurant were outside enjoying a little hookah by the front door. Kind of weird for a business establishment.
If the service was super and had culture it may have made up for mediocre food quality. I would rate the overall experience as a D.
