About Mr Cupcakes

To bite into a cupcake at Mr. Cupcakes is to bite into french toast, hot chocolate, Fruity Pebbles, or even a chocolate sundae. That's because this sweet spot doesn't just top its treats with fun ingredients—it swirls them right into the batter. The results are 40 explosions of flavor that might see chocolate cake with chocolate chips baked into it and a chocolate ganache on top, or yellow cake mixed with Oreo and M&M cookies. But either way Mr. Cupcakes has attracted praise from more than sweet teeth: everyone from New Jersey Family to The Food Network's Cupcake Wars has lauded the shop's inventiveness.

Recently, however, Mr. Cupcakes' Hawthorne location has expanded its scope beyond sweets. The new coffee bar lets guests complement their cake with a snazzy espresso drink while using the free Wi-Fi to work or memorize unsound statistics.

Not a fan. There are better tasting cupcakes out there. I would rather pay full price for a better cream.
