About Northern Star Farm

Since 1927, the Wismer family has owned and operated the historical Northern Star Farm. They've maintained their rich heritage over time, preserving their 220-acre farm from development in perpetuity through the PA Farmland preservation program. Today, Matthew Wismer and his two daughters, Ashley and Erin, run Northern Star, transforming it from a basic working farm into a family-friendly destination. Families head out to the farm for Fall Fest weekends full of hayrides, corn mazes, pony rides, and cider donuts. For the Christmas holiday season, Northern Star Farm hosts their annual Winter Fest where guests can meet Live Reindeer and take holiday photos in front of beautiful scenery. In addition, Winter Fest offers a variety of activities including Pony Rides, Hay Rides, Gingerbread House Competition, and more.
