About Idle-Hour Ranch
There is nothing run-of-the-mill about Idle-Hour Ranch. With more than 200 animals, including 40+ species, the Iddings family's exotic menagerie has grown quite a bit over the years. Guests to the ranch can meet one of its most beloved residents, Sam the giraffe, or catch glimpses of mountain lions and peacocks. Open to visitors on the weekend, various attractions include a mini farm market, a safari-themed corn maze, and face painting.

The maze and ranch were ok but the groupon was not at all what we had expected because the cost of the maze was only $5.per person when combined with the admission anyway so it wasn't really a deal and didn't realize that until the day we visited! Would have had a better time if we were aware of the costs of other things such as the rides and feed for the animals before the visit. Things were a little pricey! I guess if we knew the groupon was only for the maze, we would have had the extra money to spend which would have been a nicer visit, that's all! :( Also, the face painting looked awesome online but we were never pointed in the direction of any studio or offered that attraction??

The maze itself was really fun. Ranch staff were not super friendly.

I use Groupon all the time - love it. However, in this case it seemed like the Groupon was a ploy to get people to go to the Idle Hour Ranch. Typically Groupon is a great deal, however after getting there - it was another $20 to get in, $20 to feed the animals, $10 for a ride, $12 to mine for jewels. I spent another $100 for me and my two children! I told them it's expensive and they sais that they are only open a few months a year, but have to feed the animals all year. Sounds like a business issue to me! The place was "OK" a bit dirty, nice people and they have a lot of potential to be really cool - they just need a new business plan or something.
