About Tucson Clay Co-op

The Tucson Clay Co-Op is more than just a space for painting parties. The organization works to support visiting and local potters by renting out affordable studio space and maintaining inclusive galleries, where members can showcase their pieces. Through on-site and mobile classes, painting and clay parties for children and adults, and the pottery gallery, the Tucson Clay Co-Op provides a place for growth, learning, and appreciation for ceramic art.

The coupon will get you in but there is a surprise* five dollar fee for a seat per person. The colors we were given were not what we were told they were however the instructor gave a color disclaimer at the beginning. You will then need to come back in two weeks to get your finished product and must check to see when the coop is open first. Management needs improvement for this venture.

Tight space, limited color options and very limited selection. Pricing of items seemed random... For example, "How much is this piece?" "Um, that one will be... an extra $10." "How much did I say that would be?" Maybe they should pencil the prices on the pieces instead of making up random numbers. Nice that it's a cooperative.

The paint bar was so fun! The selection was fair and you used hand mixed clay paint colors. I liked this better than your normal commercial pottery painting place, but do be ware that the paint bar is the back room of an old house that is now the clay co-op. A very "Tucson" experience :)

Small selection. It was really hot in the room we were put in. We have yet to hear back about our pieces and its been a month.
