Since they moved to the new studio, they cut some of the morning bootcamp classes. I wanted to go for these classes and the convenience of the times. Now I only have 1 option per week so I will likely not purchase more passes. The class is good though.

Don't take the ballet bar class, the teAcher isn't very clear or easy to follow. The hip hop is great!

I don't like your new location. The other studio on Main & East 5th had much more space to dance and felt like a real dance studio.

iDance stands out among Vancouver's dance studios as a beginner-friendly, non-intimidating place to get your groove on. Rae's hip hop and street dance classes in particular are excellent value and tremendous fun. When people ask me about studios that are appropriate for new dancers, I always recommend iDance.

The class was barefoot and the floors were very dirty. Recommend bringing your own yoga mat as well as the ones they provided were very dirty as well.

From Our Editors

Frustrated with the often intimidating and unwelcoming atmosphere afforded to nonprofessional dancers in dance classes, Jane Stevens founded iDance. Jane designed her studio to be fitness-oriented and engage people from a variety of backgrounds. Five years later, Jane upholds her original goals of egalitarian dance both by employing a team of friendly and motivating instructors and by offering classes that cater to pupils of all abilities. Hints of Jane’s background as both a skilled dancer and dedicated group-fitness instructor can be found in the studio as instructors lead classes ranging from traditional movement methods such as ballet and jazz to classes that fuse fitness and dance including cardio salsa, yoga dance, and underwater hokey pokey.
