About Cardio Barre Woodland Hills
Lisa Jabboury got her start as a dancer and performer in the film and television industry, professions that required her to stay strong and flexible. In 2003, a friend took her to a cardio barre class, and Lisa discovered exactly the kind of intense, varied workout she’d been looking for. In fact, she became so enamored, she decided to start her own studio, Cardio Barre Woodland Hills.
Jabboury and her fellow instructors make use of free-standing and wall-mounted barres, utilizing the studio’s massive space to accommodate many students. They enhance the normal stretches, pliés, and lifts of a dancer’s training by introducing light free weights such as dumbbells or stacks of old driver’s licenses. An entire wall of arched windows floods the space with natural light, keeping the vast room well lit throughout the day.
