About River Bend Nature Center

River Bend Nature Center is an environmental education facility which provides both knowledge and entertainment to its' guests. Visitors can admire colorful butterflies at the Ruby N. Priddy Butterfly and Nature Conservatory, walk along the River Bottom Forest Trail, and explore the United Children's Garden as well as observe live animals, attend lectures, and browse through the souvenir shop. With such a variety of attractions, it's next to impossible to get bored here. Both children and adults can be provided with interesting facts about wildlife, and visitors of any age can gain valuable experiences at River Bend Nature Center.

Staff was knowledgeable, lots of animal exhibits for the kids to look at and room to run and explore outside. My kids especially loved the Dino Dig.

Had a lovely day out with the kids! We went on a weekday so it wasn't crowded and was guided by the nicest employee. They went above and beyond explaining all the critters, scientific names and their origin stories. All in all we loved it and can't wait to visit again.

It was literally the nicest thing to do in the area as far as a tourist attraction. The people working are super knowledgeable. Lots of garden/trails to walk on, and my kids liked seeing the animals they have on exhibit.
