What You'll Get
Americans love foreign cuisine mostly for its edible packaging—adoring the tortilla wrapping around burritos, the seaweed embracing sushi, and the pretzel shell enveloping pizza Combos. Appreciate boundary-crossing fare with today's Groupon: for $10, you get $20 worth of sushi and Thai fare for dinner at Blue Elephant Restaurant. Dinner is served Monday–Friday starting at 5 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday starting at 11:30 a.m.
The culinary conductors at Blue Elephant Restaurant orchestrate fresh ingredients while rolling sushi, seasoning curry plates, and stir-frying meats, to fill a palate-pleasing menu. Thai-style basil chicken twists a traditional stir-fry with a sprinkling of basil and a dash of chili garlic sauce ($12.95), while the Racha Trio outfits beef, pork, and chicken with a bright backdrop of pineapple and plum sauce ($12.95). Though most foreign fare comes with challenging monetary conversions and indecipherable subway maps, sushi such as the yellowtail roll ($5.50) or crab stick roll ($4) comes compactly wrapped in healthful seaweed for easy eating. The chef-specialty New York roll packs a spicy-smooth mix of shrimp tempura, smelt roe, cream cheese, and avocado ($12.95). Finally, finish on a light note with desserts such as the fried banana with honey ($4) or the seasonal sweet rice with mango ($5.95), which are sweet enough to inspire envy in the citizens of Candy Land.
Bright orange walls, exposed cream bricks, and high ceilings keep the dining room both airy and warm. A green facility, Blue Elephant Restaurant stays earth-friendly with geothermal heating and cooling and free drinks for all plants.

About Blue Elephant Restaurant
The chefs at Blue Elephant Restaurant craft Thai curries, Japanese sushi, and Italian pasta dishes, tying them all together with the common thread of fresh ingredients and careful preparation. They specially order ingredients that are not available locally to ensure that each dish contains the freshest possible items. Basil leaves flavor the Thai-style basil chicken, and cashews add salt and crunch to mango chicken. Within sushi rolls, thinly sliced fish such as tuna and salmon complement the silky texture of cream cheese and avocado.
Prior to establishing the restaurant, the owners committed themselves to observing environmentally responsible building practices. As a result, the entire building is constructed from sustainable and recyclable materials. Energy-efficient light bulbs illuminate the dining room, and a geo-thermal heating and cooling system regulates the temperature. On stormy days, an onsite pond directs raindrops into the soil, preventing them from falling into a gutter or discarded chip bag.
