"The location is fantastic. After meal, people can just walk to the lake for fun. During winter, if you go in a sunny day, the sun shine may make you so warm at a table near window! The meal tastes good and we tried sushi, salad, poke, etc. the service is also good and the waiter came up to check for our satisfaction several times. But the meal was served after a long time, which needs improving.."-Christina Z.
"We love going to Seventeen...for lunch, for dinner, even for an afternoon snack. It is conveniently located in South Beach. The menu is varied and consistently good: pizza, pasta, wraps, sushi, fish. This past visit I had the salmon with spinach sauce; it was to die for!The wait staff is personable and always helpful.."-Janet W.
"Extremely flavorful, rich, dark broths, crispy skins, which leads me to the Prikking Crispy Pork Belly, WOW. The Curried fried rice with shrimp was light and at the same time fully flavored ... just great. We also loved the Beef Salad and Roast Duck with Red Curry. Sense your way through where these folks are coming from ... stick with the Thai dishes, the owners are Thai, and their dishes reflect their native region. We will go back, with a Groupon.."-Paul R.
"The food tasted good and the staff were helpful. I enjoyed that the restaurwas a unique sushi spot and that the menu was different but a little dissapointed that there were very few raw fish options and so much “crab” which is substition crab and cooked fish / seafood. The rock tempura shrimp rolls w the jalepenos were delicious. I also enjoyed some sake.."-Brandi
"One of the best sushi experiences we have had. This is a hidden gem on 16th St- you feel like you've stepped into a sushi bar in Japan. The service is impeccable- every is SO kind, they are just happy you are there and having a great time. We did the nigiri tasting menu and had a blast. We sat the sushi bar (highly recommend!) and it was amazing to watch every piece assembled by hand. We will be back- this was the BEST experience!."-KateSunset
"The food was good for fast-food sushi. I would definitely recommend. Although the beef & salmon was a little overcooked & it was somewhat on the high end of cost. However when carving sushi I would be a repeat under the circumstances that if I order beef or salmon that it not be overcooked.."-giovanna s.
There’s more to Japanese steakhouses than just Benihana. Branch out and try a nearby restaurant that offers traditional Japanese steaks in an upscale setting. Enjoy dinner and a show when the teppanyaki grill is lit and your chef begins slicing vegetables into towers and heart shapes.
Often, sake options at these restaurants are plentiful. Order a bottle of hot or cold sake for the table and toast to good health. You’ll soon see why sake and steak make for a natural pairing.
