Exercise is challenging. How do you keep clients motivated and engaged?
Climbing is one of those sports that becomes more than just a hobby – it truly can become a lifestyle. The addition of yoga came naturally because it has similar roots in movement, balance, strength, and concentration. The combination of yoga and climbing go hand in hand. We have a good variety of yoga classes ranging from introductory level classes to advanced practices.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
The original inspiration for the business came over 20 years ago when I (Aaron Gibson) began climbing. I dreamed of having a community climbing gym in my hometown. Over the years the idea has evolved and become more refined. After years of climbing, visiting other climbing areas across the country and other climbing gyms, Climb Up has become the culmination of some of my favorite aspects of those places and experiences.
What do you love most about your job?
We are really excited to see a new population of people be introduced to climbing and fall in love with it like we did.The most common reaction people have when they enter the climbing gym is “Wow. This is amazing.” It is an inspiring place to be and a great community has evolved from it.
