Amazing experience! My daughter loved all the attractions, and of course picking a pumpkin last October. Furthermore, the people at the market hooked us up when we were buying a few snacks which was much appreciated! The honey there was spectacular and they gave me the second one for free as well. Will definitely be coming back and recommending to friends.

Little explorers zip through the Kiddie Hay Maze, built for toddlers, young kids, and even pre-teens. Families can roll out on old-fashioned Hay Rides through the patch. Maze fans will love tackling the 10-acre Corn Maze with a new design made to get you delightfully turned around. And don't forget to cap it off with a loop on the Tractor Train Ride around the farm!

David’s journey in farming began with a field trip to Apple Hill. Now, he operates a 10-acre pumpkin patch and grows a variety of heirloom vegetables. The farm’s hands-on approach draws visitors year after year, keeping the connection to the land alive. Visit on a weekday before dusk to catch the field work in motion and take home pumpkins grown by a fifth-generation farmer!

FAQs

Can guests bring their dogs to the pumpkin patch?

Yes! Friendly, well-behaved dogs are welcome—as long as they’re good with kids, comfortable in crowds, and kept on a leash at all times to ensure everyone’s safety.

Are there any allergy risks guests should know about?

Definitely. The farm environment includes common allergens like pollen, insects, and plant residue. There are also food vendors on-site, so if you have specific allergies, it’s best to check ingredient info or reach out to the farm ahead of time.

What should guests do if they lose something during their visit?

If you misplace an item, the farm has a lost and found to help reunite you with it. For the fastest help, send them an email with a description of what you lost and where you last saw it.

Can I pay with credit cards, Venmo, or Apple Pay?

Not at the moment. Because of the rural location and limited internet access, mobile payments aren’t available. No worries though! There are ATMs on-site.

About Dave's Pumpkin Patch West Sacramento, California

In eighth grade, David Vierra visited Apple Hill; at 13 he planted his first pumpkins. Today the fifth-generation farmer runs a 10-acre patch and tends his grandfather’s garden plus 800 acres of specialty vegetables—heirloom tomatoes, black seedless watermelons, and six hard squashes. The farm opens each autumn (and as Dave’s Xmas Trees in winter). Attractions include the Jumping Pillow, Hay Ride, Tractor Train Ride, Corn Maze, Kiddie Hay Maze, and the Pumpkin Patch.
