What You’ll Do
Barrel-aged liquor holds the flavors and scents of the wood used, making for distinctive, often smokey, whiskeys, cognacs, rums, and even vodkas. At the Barrels & Bites event, guests explore the breadth and depth of aging as they sample up to seven selections of their favorite spirits and enjoy delicious food from Chicagoland eateries. Afterward, they’ll head home with a commemorative glass to use as they continue their studies.
Taste Barrel-Aged Spirits and More
Each admission includes seven tastings of barrel-aged spirits from local vendors such as CH Distillery, Anthony’s Own, and Few Spirits, as well as visiting purveyors such as Evan Williams and Rittenhouse Rye.
Dig In to Local Eats
Bites from Municipal Bar, Rockit Burger Bar, Rockit Bar and Grill, The Salsa Truck, The Donermen Truck, Adamus, and more help stomachs soak up the samples.
A Greater Cause
The event benefits Common Threads, a charity focused on nutritional education for children in underserved communities.
