About Lake Ridge and General's Ridge Golf Courses
Lake Ridge and General’s Ridge were some of the first courses in northern Virginia to offer FootGolf, a new and quickly-growing variety of golf played by kicking a regulation soccer ball into a 21” hole. FootGolf combines kicking from soccer with the tranquility of being on a golf course for a friendly competition with teammates.
Lake Ridge features a nine-hole FootGolf course with one 21" hole per regulation golf hole, and is for beginners and walkers wanting a short round. General’s Ridge, on the other hand, offers a more challenging 18-hole course with a unique setup: The first 14 FootGolf holes are played on the front 9-regulation holes, and holes 15 through 18 are played on former practice holes not used for everyday golf. General’s Ridge has a par-72 layout, was designed by Jerry Slack, and has the option of using a golf cart during your round.
