This was a great course for the beginner rider. The instructers were very very helpful and not at all harsh. They never made you feel like you should not be out there! Just do not be late!

Connie was an excellent teacher. She did a great job in studying us pupils and knew how to encourage us. If I didn't have the groupon, I probably wouldn't have invested the money. But with the groupon, it made it feasible for me and I'm glad I did it. Thank you!!!!!!

I have been riding for 20 yrs. Taking the Beginner course brought a lot of attention to how bad a rider I was. So, I thought I should take the Advanced rider course to become a well rounded rider. Too many accidents are giving riders a bad image. I want to change the statictics and become a better rider, and help motorcyclists obtain a better image.

About This Deal

Riding a motorcycle can make a person look cool, like Jack Nicholson in Easy Rider or that deathly sick man in Moto-medic: The Motorcycle that Talks and Works as a Paramedic. Ride off into style with this Groupon.

Choose Between Two Options

  • $49 for an experienced-rider course (a $105 value)
  • $99 for a basic-rider course (a $210 value)

Basic courses are held over a full weekend, with classes 8 a.m.–5 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. Motorcycles and helmets are provided to students, and successful completion of basic-rider courses waives the written and driving components of the motorcycle driver's license through the Tennessee DMV. Experienced-rider courses are one day long, teaching advanced turning and braking skills to students who furnish their own street-legal motorcycle. For a schedule of upcoming classes, click here.

About Mid Tenn Motorcycle Education Center

At Mid Tenn Motorcycle Education Center, nationally certified instructors impart the secrets to safe and street-legal riding. Through their basic courses, students step in on Saturday and leave on Sunday with the comprehensive knowledge and skills to bypass the written and driving portions of the state licensing test. The instructors spread tutelage across 5 classroom hours and 10 hours of on-cycle instruction. More advanced students can dip into one-day, six-hour experienced-rider courses to practice precision handling, advanced braking, and dodging squirrels. The school also hosts women-only classes that teach terminology and skills free of testosterone-induced wheelie popping.
