About Nicole Ely-Joshi Photography
Nicole Ely-Joshi grew up surrounded by camera lenses; her parents were photographers, and the classic and contemporary architecture of Rochester, New York, afforded plenty of ways to test her eye for composition. After attaining a degree from Harvard in special needs education and neuropsychology, Nicole turned back to her birthright and original passion, forming Nicole Ely-Joshi Photography. Specializing in families and little ones, Nicole employs both her formal education and her experience as a mother of two to assuage clients' nerves during everything from portraits to maternity and boudoir series. She frequently shoots her subjects from unexpected angles in natural light, capturing images in a photojournalistic style to depict napping infants, the innocent eyes of pets under impeachment, and the natural curves of expectant mothers. After each session, Nicole can translate images into either high-resolution digital versions for displaying online or black-and-white prints for handing to film-noir detectives.
