Choose from Three Options

  • $219 for a semiprivate 3.5-hour bottom-fishing charter for two aboard the Kodiak or The Sun Runner boats (a $437.50 value)
  • $299 for a private 3.5-hour bottom-fishing charter for up to four aboard The Loki (a $612.50 value)

Guides pair up duos with two other fishermen during the semiprivate charter. Depending on season, anglers catch deep-sea dwellers such as halibut, lingcod, and dungeness crab. Charters depart from Orcas Island, accessible by ferry from Anacortes, and trips may be extended for whale watching or picnicking on Sucia Island for an additional fee or execution of a successful narwhal call.<p>

Outer Island Expeditions

Outer Island Expeditions' fleet of kayaks and boats safely cruises at speeds of up to 50 miles per hour through frothy crests ebbing amid the striking sights and wildlife of the San Juan islands. Venturing as far as 50 miles into Canadian waters, whale-watching excursions foster personal rapport between patrons and boat-side orcas, gray whales, or humpback whales trying to learn human etiquette for future espionage missions. Fishing charters set sail in search of ocean creatures and potable salt water. Kayak tours explore the scenic north shore of Orcas Island and the beautiful wildlife haven that is Sucia Island State Park. Powerboat tours depart from either Smuggler's Villa Resort on Orcas Island or Skyline Marine Center in Anacortes, WA.

Customer Reviews

Couldn't see the whales up close. But great staff and fun experience - Sarah and Skye were awesome. Be sure to wear warm clothes. It can get pretty chilly.
