Planet Sub takes the storefront grinder shop into the 21st century with vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options that rival its traditional subs. And since 1998, staffers at each outpost in the Planet Sub empire have started every day by baking their signature bread from scratch. From there, they combine fresh-sliced meats, cheeses, veggies, and five-grain tempeh into surprising flavor combinations.
The Creamy Crab, for example, blends surimi crab with bacon, cream cheese, and mayonnaise, while the Pesto Bello piles two kinds of cheese with roasted portobello mushrooms, sun-dried tomatoes, and tomato-garlic pesto. And the Planet Sub itself is loaded with roast beef, oven-roasted turkey, smoked ham, and bacon.
