Edward Tang was struck by how the slightest change in a patient’s symptoms could completely alter their medical diagnosis. The chiropractic doctor was visiting a clinic while attending The Medical University of Lodz in Poland, but this discovery made him readjust his approach to medicine by focusing on both the symptoms and his patients’ history.
Today, Dr. Tang serves as medical director at River Oaks Spine & Rehab Center, where he and his staff strive to aid patients by personalizing each of their therapeutic services. They customize their treatments with a variety of tools, including physical-rehab equipment, low-level laser beams, and pain-alleviating acupuncture needles. Licensed massage therapists offer muscle manipulation aimed at reducing stress and improving circulation. The center also specializes in spinal decompression, a procedure that works to ease back and neck pain resulting from herniated disks or attending Halloween parties dressed as a slinky.
