The experienced instructors at Skydive Warren County have safely guided students out of perfectly good airplanes for more than 30 years. After a brief training session on the ground, students are securely strapped to their instructors in a specially designed parachute rigged for two people. After ascending to an elevation of approximately 10,000 feet, duos bid adieu to the aircraft together, free-falling for more than one mile and reaching speeds of up to 130 mph before pulling the ripcord and sailing safely to the ground. Visitors and any accompanying parties can spend their earthbound time at the facility’s 6,000-square-foot hangar, equipped with TVs, an air-hockey table, Tetris, complimentary WiFi, and free-range couches.

Skydive Warren County

Skydive Warren County is a labor of love for the Stewart family with roots as far back as 1945, when the patriarch purchased 40 acres of land and lived in a house attached to a hangar at Waynesville Airport. Such proximity caused the Stewarts to grow up with an appreciation for aviation that eventually brought them to skydiving. Since 1969, the business has been imbued with their enthusiasm, teaching novices and experts alike how to hone their skills in airborne sports with the help of licensed professionals.
