What You'll Get
Like a tongue on a flagpole in February, fusion cuisine results from curiosity and a shortage of popsicles. Rein in restless taste buds with today’s Groupon to Sungari’s Dragonwell Asian Bistro. Choose between the following options:
- For $60, you get a prix fixe meal for four (up to a $132 total value) that includes:
- Two appetizers (up to a $16 value)
- Four soups or two soups for two (up to a $24 value)
Four entrees (up to a $92 value)
- For $22, you get $45 worth of anything on the menu. Entrees range from $15 to $23 each.
The skilled chefs at Sungari’s Dragonwell bring the flavors of China to American tongues with a selection of traditional and Asian fusion cuisine. Visitors are cordially introduced to mealtime by the minced-chicken lettuce wraps and fried har gou, or shrimp balls, which politely request that guests not call them shrimpy. Mouths can then individually marinate in the egg flower soup or immerse with a pal in the sizzling rice soup for two. The Yin-Yang shrimp, which contrasts prawns in a spicy mandarin sauce with shrimp in a cantonese white-wine sauce, balances diners’ chi, and the sesame beef arrives lounging atop a bed of crispy noodles as regally as a child prince floating ashore atop a mound of floaty noodles. Sit at the stone-inlaid center bar or at a private table in the recently renovated dining area to sample specialty cocktails and sakes that provide the courage necessary to ask a stranger to dance, even in the absence of music.
