About This Deal
Bite-sized morsels infiltrate the grown-up table in today’s deal, which mounts a two-pronged assault that will storm your taste buds with deliciousness. Get to dippin' and sippin' with this Groupon: $25 for $50 worth of food and drinks at The Melting Pot, a storied fondue establishment located near the corner of Blanco and Bitters.
Fondue is a game-changing way to feast, letting you dip morsels of meat, bread, fruit, and vegetables into melted cheese, gooey chocolate, and flavored sauces. At The Melting Pot, fondue isn't just a haphazard dunking affair: it's masterfully pairing dip and dippee, while washing it all down with a selection from its award-winning wine list.
You can start with a classic cheese fondue ($16, serves two) and a salad ($6). Cheese fondues range from the traditional Swiss cheese fondue, made with Gruyère and Emmenthaler cheeses, to the unorthodox fiesta cheese fondue, made with cheddar cheese, Mexican herbs, peppers, adventure, and spice. Every cheese fondue is served with perfectly sized pieces of fresh bread, vegetables, and apples for maximum dippage. Salads include the California salad, spinach mushroom salad, and Caesar salad.
Entrees range from $18 to $29 and include bountiful meats harvested from the land and sea. Each entree is cooked tableside in your choice of four cooking styles and comes with multiple dipping sauces, ensuring each bite is different than the last, like channel surfing among four different tasty programs. Landlubbers can choose from chicken, filet mignon, pork tenderloin, and duck in various combinations. Seafarers might prefer meats that are acclimated to the chill of the abyss, choosing white shrimp, scallops, cedar plank salmon, or cold water lobster tail (add to any entree for $12). For the conscientious objectors, The Melting Pot offers a munificent vegetarian entree, which includes edamame or onion rings, artichoke hearts, asparagus, portobello mushrooms, and more ($18).
If that weren't enough, there's an entire menu dedicated to desserts and another to dessert drinks in case your hands have been repossessed by their original owner during your meal. The dessert dippers include fruits, cakes, marshmallows, and brownies ($16 small, $32 regular). Choosing the fondue can be an excruciating choice, as even their names are mouth-watering: cookies 'n’ cream marshmallow dream, bananas foster, and chocolate s'mores, among others. Check out all the menus for more details on the gooey goodness.
Don't forget to save your seat at the dipping table; call ahead to reserve. The Melting Pot is open for dinner seven days a week.
This Groupon is valid at the San Antonio location only. Not valid with other offers, including days with set menus, such as New Year's Eve and Valentines Day.

- One of our favorite spots--the food is outstanding as well as unique, and the wine list is great. Hard to believe this is part of a chain--it definitely doesn't feel like it. The service is consistently sublime! – IrishLass, Zagat
- Great evening out. You choose the courses and direct the food preparation. The food is fresh, the fondu [sic] outstanding and lots of fun in the preparation. The waiters and waitresses are helpful, appear at just the right times, and you never feel rushed. You are truly the "King of the Castle". – jmenk, Citysearch
- This restaurant has the best atmosphere around. The service is wonderful. The staff will do whatever it takes to ensure that you have an enjoyeable [sic] experience. The food is wonderful, but the chocolate is to die for. I have just gone for the chocolate fondue. Trust me when I say that you will never want just any ole chocolate after having theirs. – Katy, Yahoo! Local
