Hyatt Place Dallas/Arlington

Staff Gets 5 Star Review! Staff is friendly, helpful and accommodating. Hotel was clean. Rooms were comfortable and spaceous. Location is perfect if you plan to go to Six Flags, it’s a short little walk over to the park. For major league sporting events, the stadiums are within walking distance however there are no sidewalks to use the closer to the hotel you get. Streets are very dark near the hotel as well. This made walking back at night time feel unsafe and dangerous with the vehicle traffic and no sidewalks. Also there are no nearby shops or restaurants which is a major downfall. To get anywhere we had to use Uber. We spent a fortune on Uber rides during this trip, way more than any other trip we’ve taken. We typically walk everywhere on our trips and this hotel was not a good location for how we prefer to spend our vacations. Great staff tho, they definitely made up for all the shortcomings we experienced.

Very Disappointing Stay We are Hyatt Rewards members, so are always looking for a Hyatt when traveling. We had never stayed at this hotel and never will again. We chose this location because it was a midway point between Fort Worth, Dallas, and Mansfield… all the locations that we would be visiting… and because the hotel was rated as a 4-star… which it is so not! Our first hint, as to what we were in for, was that the person who checked my husband in did not mention the notes, which he had included when booking. We asked that the a/c filter be changed in our room, AND that we verbally be told that it was done at check-in. Nothing was mentioned, so we assume, it was not done. Then, only one of the two elevators was working on a weekend when the hotel was packed! Our room, as usual, was humid (the reason why we asked that the filter be changed prior to our arrival) and not that cool, even though the air was set to 68. We are from the Houston area, so humidity is not a foreign concept to us; DFW is significantly drier, so the room should be also. Of course, this is my chief complaint with almost all of the Hyatt Places that we have stayed. Guessing this is a function of the “window” a/c units and the carpet, which gets changed who knows how often, making a comfortable night of sleep almost impossible. The bathroom was very much a disappointment. The door was beaten up and missing a piece on the backside, and the door jam was also messed up, which made closing the door difficult. I have to also mention that the door is too large and made getting in to the bathroom a feat, as well. Also, the tub was chipped and rusted around the drain, and the ceiling above the tub was so dusty that when I closed the shower curtain, dust came raining down. Lastly the elevators were a hit or miss the whole time. For at least 12 hours on Saturday, neither of the two elevators were working. We were staying on the 5th floor. Fortunately, we are pretty active, so not a big deal to take the stairs, but such a violation of ADA and not good for other groups, who cannot take stairs as easily. Basically, this hotel needs a serious facelift and renovation to bring it up to standards with other Hyatt Places or bette! The silver lining from the whole disappointing stay was the staff. Everyone we encountered was friendly and attentive from the front staff to the cleaning crew, so they should be commended for their customer service.

Mold Covered Bedding and Pillows Came to town for a concert at AT&T stadium. Within 15 mins of getting in the bed my body started whelping. Then my kids showed me their blankets under the light and they were covered in mold. Now I’m out 500 since we had to move to another hotel 20 mins away to have a comfortable clean place to sleep while in town. Never had a problem with Hyatt.. but this Is absolutely disgusting!

Great for families Friendly staff, good sized rooms, and a fantastic breakfast spread. The pool was quite dirty and the walking area around the pool had hundreds of ants biting our feet. The elevators kept going out during our stay, but the stairs were easy to locate.

Great experience Hotel is in a great location. 10 minute drive from major locations in every direction. Service was incredible. Not the most variety for breakfast, but still very good food.
