Hampton Inn & Suites Arlington Crystal City DCA

Great Stay! The room was clean, bed was comfortable, and staff were friendly and professional. We used the hotel shuttle service from Reagan and it was fast and easy to use. We loved all the great restaurants within walking distance. Los Tios Grill, Frederico Italiano, and enjoyed the Crystal City Sports Pub. The breakfast was not great, but everything else outweighed that and we would definitely stay here again.

Good choice near DC This hotel is a good choice for families visiting the DC area, especially when flying into DCA. Crystal City Metro is an easy two block walk and takes about 5 minutes. Safe area, we walked from the metro back to hotel as late as 11:15pm and no issues. We used the free hotel shuttle from/to the airport (had a bit of a wait for p/u from airport ~30 minutes but only about 10 minutes on return trip to airport). Rooms look to be fairly recently updated with refill dispensers of hand soap, lotion, shampoo, conditioner and body wash, plus nightlights. Sinks do have odd placement of faucet in the top right corner. Several hooks for hanging items between bathroom and room. We used Amazon Fresh to have some basic snacks/drinks delivered and that worked well as there is an Amazon Fresh store about 4-5 blocks away. Hotel was sold out while there but quiet- we never heard neighbors and street noise and airport noise were not an issue, we were on the 8th floor though. Quick elevators. Breakfast area was large and busy every morning and we visited at varying times but the workers kept everything replenished and clean. Standard free breakfast of powdered eggs, (one morning was cheese omelets), sausage, gravy &biscuits, waffles, oatmeal, cereals and yogurt. Several quick service food options just about 3 block walk (Chick fil a, Chipotle and Sweetgreens among others). I had reserved guaranteed connecting rooms online thru Hilton and called the hotel to confirm that guarantee weeks before arrival. The morning of arrival the Hilton app would not allow me to choose connecting rooms. Upon calling the hotel for help I spoke with Marcia and she was thankfully able to resolve the problem and place us in the connected rooms even though the hotel was fully booked. I appreciate that Hilton’s website allows the option to select guaranteed connecting rooms but would suggest they improve that process to avoid inconveniencing travelers on vacation. Would stay again and recommend this hotel to others.

Comfortable, Free Breakfast, Easy Metro Access, $$ Parking On a family trip to the East coast - with plans to see the DC Mall, WW-II memorial, Smithsonian, Museum of the Bible, etc. No reasonable accommodations were available in DC, but Pentagon City and Crystal City in VA were options with easy access to the Metro Rail system. We chose the Hampton Inn in Crystal City - a 7 minute walk to the Metro station. I got a Senior (65 and over) SmarTrip pass, while my bride had to pony up for a regular 3-day SmarTrip card. The rooms were clean, tidy, with a fridge but no microwave. The AM breakfast was free with all of the usual options (eggs, sausage, cereal, yogurt, juice, waffles, etc). Except for the overpriced fees ($49 per night) for parking, the hotel is highly recommended.

Good location to visit DC Very good location to Metro and Reagan National Airport. Metro is a short walk from the hotel. Hotel does offer shuttle service to the airport and metro. The shuttle is a little tight concerning space for passengers inside and a little difficult to disembark. Hotel was very clean during our stay in early June 2024. Hotel offered a nice complimentary breakfast with hot and cold items. Coffee and tea offered all day. Very nice and comfortable bed and pillows. Very close to several dining options that are within walking distance. Only item that was bothersome was the faucet in the bathroom sink. It worked fine but is not centered over the sink. Odd location on the side corner of the sink. Water goes everywhere on the counter. Very nice addition to the bathroom was the addition of body wash, shampoo and conditioner that is low suds but was effective. All in all, a good choice when staying in DC, Arlington, or Alexandria.

Nice place - expensive parking Nice hotel and great location for DC. We stayed here for a weekend trip to DC. Was a nice hotel. Clean rooms. Parking was very steep at 40+ a night. A nice place to stay for a weekend. Breakfast was good and checkin was easy. Would stay again if in the area.
