Clean and quiet but middle of nowhere Not a bad place but know what you’re getting into. A hotel built for train employees to sleep at. It’s in the middle of nowhere so make sure you have everything you need before making your way to the hotel. Check in was through the diner which is at the front of the hotel. Staff was nice enough at check in Room was clean but small. Beds were pretty comfortable. It was very quiet. Almost creepily quiet. Going outside can seem a bit eerie at night but the property is well lit on all sides. There is a Union Pacific crew break room on site. Looked nice but I could only see through the window. WiFi and satellite tv worked surprisingly well considering remoteness. We had dinner at the diner. It was tasty; similar to Waffle House. Dinner for two with juice was $33. Some folks complained online it was pricy but I suppose I’m use to that type of pricing back home in Denver. Loved the playful sass and banter from the employees. Our cook (who doubled as the hotel front desk) asked us to not order anything difficult to make. Ha! She confirmed our orders were simple enough. If you’re passing through, I’d recommend a stop here. Just know you’re limited to food from a diner and vending machine. (Odd item in the vending machine next to the candy: canned fish?)

Great stop We were travelling back home to Saskatchewan from Colorado and needed a place to crash for the night. This place is literally in the middle of nowhere. But it was clean and had comfortable beds. Just what we needed and when we woke up in the morning they had a cool 50s style diner on property for a delicious breakfast.

Middle of Nowhere As others have stated, this hotel is not in Douglas. It is at least thirty miles north of Douglas and about the same distance south of Gillette in Bill, Wyoming. There is nothing else in Bill besides this hotel and the attached diner. If you are looking for a place to crash for the night, it is a relatively quiet, pet friendly hotel. Many guests appeared to be railway workers. But if you need access to any services including a gas station, it would be better to stay in Douglas or Gillette when exploring this part of Wyoming. It is a one level hotel. Check in/check out is actually handled through the diner. The room was comfortable. We had a minifridge stocked with bottled water (perhaps someone had left this behind). We paid $130 for the night with taxes and fees (but no additional pet fee.) There was off street free parking, but the area did not feel very secure and there was very limited staff for security issues including addressing one indigent man on a bike who was in the parking lot throughout the night. Plan your trip to stop in Douglas or Gillette but drive on through Bill.
