Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Bloomington-Normal Airport, IL

Beware! Disappointing experience! I’m sorry to be writing this review. We’ve stayed at this hotel probably ten times in the last three years, usually a full week at a time. We had no issues until my three night stay last week. I checked in Thursday afternoon. When I returned to my room on Friday, the bed had been made, which I didn’t expect. (There were no “do not disturb” signs to put on the door). To my knowledge that’s the only time anyone entered my room. When packing up to check out, I discovered several things missing. The entire total wouldn’t even be $20 but I was upset to think someone had been in my room and went through my things. I asked to talk with a manager at the front desk. The lady said no one was available and she would make sure I got a call-back. That was Sunday and this is Saturday (6 days later) and after several phone calls I still haven’t been contacted. The lack of professionalism and taking responsibility is a sad disappointment. I know they have cameras and could solve this but they’ve chose to do nothing. I noticed during my stay that several rooms had their doors propped open while being serviced by one cleaning person and cart. I’d hate to think someone had the freedom to enter my room. I wanted nothing other than an explanation and apology. BEWARE of staying at a place where your possessions aren’t secure! We won’t be back. AND this incident cost the hotel ten rooms next summer. My uncle physically walked in and spoke to a lady at the front desk recently requesting the room block for a family reunion. She assured him it was taken care of and quoted a price. He asked me to double check while I was there…no such reservation was on the calendar. To management…please don’t even try to deny any of this happened. Every single word is true, and I took the names of your people that promised a call-back.

Great stay Rooms are very clean. Service was very friendly. Breakfast was good. Every time I walk in the door they asked me how my day’s been. It’s real good.

Chlorine level was absurd We had a good two night stay! Clean facility! Very nice bathroom! Good price! Very pleasant and accommodating staff! Great location to where we needed to be, and other resources. Breakfast was good and stayed stocked. Nice fitness area also. The only issue I had was with the pool! It was clean, nice and warm, and even open until midnight!(Most close at 10) But for some reason the hotel had an absurd amount of chlorine in the water! As soon as you walk into the pool area your eyes start to burn..after some time it becomes hard to breath! My kids, nor anyone else, could stay longer than an hour in there. My son had to take a breathing treatment after. And we all woke up the next day with coughs and sore throats! I'm writing this review so hopefully the chlorine issue can be fixed!! This hotel would definitely be a five star review without pool chlorine issue..

Great hotel! We stayed here on our way home from vacation. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were very clean, the kids loved the pool and the breakfast offerings were great. We loved that eggs and sausage were offered - not just carb options.

Nice Indoor pool Friendly Staff, Good Breakfast with freshly made waffles and other hot items. Cereals, yogurt and fresh bananas and apples. Nice Indoor pool. Rooms were clean and the beds were made up everyday.. But the hotel needs some renovations, but good enough to recommend for a couple of nights.
