The Lysol & bleach doesn’t mask the mold and filth Where do I start? This place is disgusting. Turn around. Don’t go inside. You’ll smell it immediately. You can smell it from the air vents as you walk up to the building. I was forced to stay here for a week on a business trip and couldn’t breathe through my nose the entire time because of the mold pumping through the vents. My colleague had to change rooms bc she could literally see the water damage on the ceiling and it reeked of mold. I am laying in bed right now as I write this review, and my eyes are stinging. I’m convinced they wash all of their linens in straight bleach. Do they even rinse it? Lastly the cleanliness is questionable, when I went to close the curtains I landed my thumb into mystery goo stick to the curtains, hint: it was waist high. I’m telling you, don’t stay here. The front desk lady was nice.

Worst hotel EVER We came here for my sons USMC graduation and hoping for a couple.days of relaxation. To start late checkout that I have always done with IHG is noon not 2pm. I'll get back to this. But our toilet ran all night and day. Ice maker puts out 4 cubes in a 16 hr period. My husband took pictures the wall by the AC is caving into the room. There is a 4x4 section of plaster coming off the wall by our fridge. The shower is leaking from the 4th floor to our shower. Beds are horribly uncomfortable and no blanket provided for the couch bed even though my reservation has a 3rd personal requested it. The TVs turn on but good luck getting any channels and the staff. We'll the staff with exception of one maintenance person that told me to have a great day in the elevator the maid told me to move in the hall way. At first check in the lady was so concerned of charging me an extra 100$ for my frenchie that I assume everyone on my floor must have gotten charged in the non smoking section for the stron smelling weed and cigarette odor. Just ridiculous. I have been a IHG member for 8 years and never had a hotel this bad. I would have rather of stayed at a red roof or motel 6. Then back to the front desk with late checkout after charing me for my dog we start checkout at 11. Latest I will do is 12. Today my husband confirmed the 12 and made sure we couldn't go later and the lady said you should have done that this morning. Your room is already rented tomorrow. Not to mention in all my stays at and IHG hotel have never jot been greated by having them say thank you for being an IHG member. Did not explain wifi, the hotel in general. Nothing slapped a key and pointed where I should go after I asked.....horrible

Avoid like the plague AVOID AT ALL COSTS. For a "suite" hotel, such as Residence Inn and Homewood Suites, this is the absolute bottom of the barrel. The rooms are small and lack the pull out couch seen in most suite rooms. It's not well maintained with an abnormal smell permeating the facility. The Wifi and general cell service is absolutely unsuitable. I quite literally lost internet as I was posting this very review multiple times. Worst of all, the staff is rude and there's no breakfast whatsoever. This place is more like a motel than a proper hotel. I've stayed at regular IHG hotels with better service and treatment. Hell, I've stayed at better Candlewood Suites. Do yourself a favor and go to literally any other hotel. This establishment is absolutely pathetic. So much for "southern comfort." The Hampton Inn & Suites in the same location is MUCH better.

Said they were overbooked and cancelled our reservation 5 hours into our drive there I booked a 2 night reservation with the hotel on May 18th for the nights of July 5th and 6th. We were traveling to spend the 4th with family in Tennessee and needed to break the drive up since we experience so many traffic issues in SC that it can take up to 16 hours to get home to Florida during holiday travel. On July 2nd I received a welcome email for our upcoming stay. We were in the mountains and phone signal was spotty. On the morning of the 5th while driving we received a voicemail that the hotel was double booked for the nights of our stay and they were checking to see if everyone was still coming. I told them yes, we are already on our way there. Then around 2:30pm they called again and said nobody cancelled their reservation so they were going to have to cancel ours. At this point we were an hour and a half away. Because we left TN to get there at the 4pm check in time, driving back to FL would have us on the road past midnight. I asked to speak to a manager and was told one would not be on property until Monday and he would give me a call then. It is now Monday at 9:30pm and I haven't heard from anyone. I even got what was supposedly the manager's email address and sent an email letting him know my husband (whose number was called when they cancelled on us) would be at work all day and to call me instead. No call, no reply to my email. We have been greatly inconvenience and I do not believe that they suddenly realized they were overbooked ON THE DAY OF. Somebody dropped the ball somewhere and now they can't even provide half decent customer service when they completely screwed us over, causing us to have to get a hotel in another town and pay day of holiday booking prices. We booked Candlewood which had a kitchen, pool, laundry facilities, ect. For a higher expense the only option we could find was a bare bones hotel an hour from Hilton Head. We were forced to eat our meals our and couldn't wash our dirty clothes from the past week. Now we have a Hilton Honors account because IHG doesn't care about their loyal customers and the managers can't manager their hotel properly.
