Staypineapple, A Delightful Hotel, South End

Cute hotel and friendly staff Comfy beds and cute decorations. Other than the bathroom being a little small, it's a great little hotel in an awesome location. We used the bikes and drank a lot of water so the $15 a day amenity fee felt justified.

Really nice trip with my pup Of the hotels I stayed at in Boston this is my favorite! It is a really "delightful" spot and I hope they stay in business for a long time. Highly suggest for a single traveler with pets. Pros: Adorable pet package with dog treats, beautifully decorated rooms, friendly front desk, nice snack fridge, central location, comfortable beds, felt very safe traveling alone! Also right next to Boston Animal rescue so plenty of places to walk the pup. Cons: The elevator didn't feel very clean (with Covid this does matter) and I was charged for an add-on that I never received (it was my birthday so I ordered Prosecco and Truffles that never made it) and the bed frame had a piece of metal sticking out if that caught my pants (and made a small hole) twice. I definitely recommend staying here and will come back. Much better than the Kimpton I had stayed at the night before where they didn't even know what a dog bag was when I asked for one.

Awful, on many levels I've never written a negative review, but this place deserves one. Started off with a simple request for an early check-in, and was told no problem and to call that morning upon arrival. Called the hotel, and no one answered the phone! Tried repeatedly, to no avail. Finally tracked down someone in their home city of Seattle, who also tried the Boston hotel, and no one answered. He had no explanation. Went to hotel, and the person at the front desk said he was not permitted to check-in guests! Only the manager could do that important task. Of course, the manager was not on premises. He would call me shortly. No call from manager. Called him. He claimed he was too busy opening the hotel, and offered other excuses. Called corporate offices to complain. Representative said this was inexcusable and she would investigate the situation and revert. Never happened. Same scenario with yet another rep. (Emails also ignored.) The room: Tiny, but as expected. Put up the sign to have the room cleaned, but that was ignored. Was told 3 days later that it has to be verbally requested. What's the point of the sign? The "amenity" fee: There are no amenities so it's a misnomer. Unless they are saying it's for the "blazing fast" wifi? However, the wifi was anything but fast. It could not reliably accommodate streaming. And the TV was also intermittently out of service. On the plus side, it's a pretty nice location. But there are many better options. Final note: we expressed all of these concerns to the corporate office, and a simple apology would have prevented this post. Never seen such a disorganized mess in a hotel chain.

Excellent hotel Loved loved loved this hotel! Such a sweet little spot that I was hesitant to write a review as I don't want to spoil it for I will definitely be a repeat customer. However, the kind and helpful staff deserve some recognition for making this such a clean and welcoming place. The bed was so comfy, same with the robes. The rooms are small but when you've got such a great city to explore this was the perfect mix of luxury and utility. The cookies are amazing! We went for my daughter's birthday and she was so excited at all the little touches. The only thing I wanted was a hook on the bathroom door. But that's it! Thanks for making our stay such a pleasant one.

Very disappointing I booked for nearly a week and when I checked in was told they would not be able to clean or make up my room at all until I left due to Covid. (This was at a time the rest of Boston was open and hopping.) I had to remove my own trash and clean as best I could without even a pro-forma "sorry for the inconvenience." There is a $15.00 per night "amenity" fee ($17.50 with tax) even though there are no actual amenities except use of a bike, water and wi-fi) However, you get to use $10 of the fee as a credit towards airline-quality snacks from a glass case in the lobby (which, awkwardly, the front desk person has to unlock and get out for you). The bed was comfortable and the bed covers cozy, as were the robes. The yellow decor was cute and the TV big. But the room felt cramped, there was no desk (there is a fold-down board but mine was broken) and no chair, only a "pouff." I could have happily accepted all of it if the men at the front desk had not been so utterly unfriendly and unhelpful. The pineapple is a symbol of hospitality, hence presumably the branding. But my experience was the very opposite of hospitable.
