One night stay before early flight Location was excellent next to SFO airport since we had to get up early for our flight. We arrived too early to check in and so left the luggage with the reception team and came back later to check in and there was a bit of confusion about this. Rooms were ok for a quick overnight stay. Didn't have breakfast since we checked out at 4 AM. Free parking was good.

Will avoid this hotel in the future We stayed at this hotel twice within the same week. Our first stay experience was not great, but we couldn't change our hotel for our stay later during the same week because we had prepaid, and it the rates were non-refundable. The rooms were ok, the bathroom sliding door was not closing properly. There is no maintenance staff in the night, so if you have an emergency you will have to put up with it until the next morning. The breakfast was nothing to rave about. The bananas were mushy and old, they ran out of milk and yogurt quickly. The kitchen manager couldn't even tell us if the bagels had egg in them. She sent us to the front desk person Marie who tried to blame us saying we should have checked in advance. Little did she know that we had already done so over the phone and were told to check with the hotel staff upon check in. Definitely not a place where I would want to stay again.

Worst Hampton Inn Upon arrival at check in I requested a room in a quiet area because my husband was sick. Mary said our room was ready, if we had special request we had to wait till the room was cleaned at 4:30 pm? Took 1-1/2hrs. This woman is rude. Never stay here.

Fine for a stay near the airport I chose this airport as a place to stay for one night before an morning flight so I was not expecting a long stay. I didn't want to spend a lot for a short stay. Pros: location is excellent, free parking, clean room with good layout, updated bathroom, microwave and fridge in room, good seating for breakfast. Cons: construction on the South side of the building woke me at 7 am, no one at front desk for check in - maintenance staff had to find him, breakfast is basic and served in paper plates and bowls.

Scam: Excessive charges and no refund I stayed one night before an early morning flight at the nearby SFO. The room was fine, and they prepared a minimal bag "breakfast" to go since I was checking out very early the next morning. I asked to review my bill, but the clerk could not print it out, and offered to email it to me. When I received the bill later that day, I saw a charge of $143 for 10 days parking when I had only parked there 1 night. I called, and after being on hold for over 20 minutes, was finally connected to a clerk who advised that the error would be corrected and the excess parking charge refunded. No refund was issued. I contested the excess parking charge with my credit card company, but this Hampton Inn denied any wrong doing, and would not refund the excess charge. I called Hampton Inn again and spoke with Arjun who identified himself as the general manager. He promised to make things right and he would call back in a day to confirm. No call and no refund. Clearly this hotel is not operating in an ethical manner. If you have to stay there, review your bill carefully upon checkout. I am following up with a letter to the parent company, Hilton, and with the Better Business Bureau.
