PARADOR DE CARMONA

Beautiful oasis An incredible Parador with warm, friendly professional service, terriffic regional food and spectacular views across the Andalucian plains. The pool, with its many steps to reach, was the perfect place to keep cool in the searing heat of July (around 40 most days). Carmona old town is compact and the history, archeology and architecture simply everyhwere to enjoy and be inspired by. The friendliness of the people, warm and genuine hospitality the best we've experienced.

No wifi in 313 No wifi in the room and very poor phone signal. For most of an afternoon I had to pop into the hallway repeatedly to deal with a family crisis! Unacceptable in 2024. Room aircon fixed at 23.5 C; too warm for us to sleep comfortably.

Well worth a visit! Amazing building and views! Really good pool area, delicious food and great service. Easy walk into the pretty town with some beautiful historic buildings. Drinks on the terrace in the evening was amazing for the view and atmosphere!

Exceptionally good A truly wonderful Parador that met our expectations in every way. The hotel is perfectly situated high above the Andalusian plains, offering incredible views. It lies within an ancient building and yet it has been designed very much with the guest in mind. The staff were very friendly, the environment welcoming, the rooms and public spaces impressive, and the large pool area very pleasant. It provided my family with by far the best Parador experience of our trip - which I shall remember for a long time. Keep doing what you're doing.

Stunning Hotel Just read the reviews – those that give five stars are not wrong. It is in a fantastic position with fantastic views. Our room looked East over the Pool (way below) and miles and miles over the plain. Fantastic sun rise photos! Check in staff were a delight and very helpful (even showed us a phone video of a winter storm breaking in through the glass doors). Room was excellent (it’s a Parador so rooms are usually big with older furniture) and very clean. Very comfortable bed and good toilet facilities (toiletries usual Parador standard). As mentioned the public areas are close to spectacular. A drink on the terrace with that view or in the Courtyard with the fountain – just wow. Breakfast was a good cold buffet style (as per Parador standard) with hot items on request with fast service. We ate in the restaurant and it was of good quality with local area items. Service was good. Car parking is easy – just drive through the arches and you can park in front of the hotel. Our stay was only one night but we would not hesitate to return to this hotel.
