Several hotels in the area, chose one of them, not this one. I cannot, in good conscience recommend this hotel. Positives: Comfortable beds and no bugs, if you need an economical hotel, the prices were not bad. Negatives: Minimal parking. There is a side parking lot, but it was almost full of construction workers and their vehicles, some of the people looked a bit sketchy. Outside doors were not locked and men were always sitting outside smoking, drunk, or looking stoned. On our second day, a baggie of drug residue and a broken lighter was very noticable in the front parking lot. In the room the microwave had not been cleaned- there was gross looking exploded food residue all over. The mini fridge needed a good cleaning and defrosting. The carpet around the bed needed a good vacuuming. There was a plastic bag over the smoke alarm, I am assuming some kind of smoking took place in the room. A couple of the bath towels smelled terrible, not freshly washed. The cleaning closet was left open one of the nights with a 30 gallon trash can full of beer cans, pizza boxes, and other garbage sitting outside of it. It was still there the next morning but overflowing. We only ate breakfast there the first morning- the orange juice was out, no hand soap anywhere near the sink, bare minimal food options, it was disappointing; never did see any employees other than upon check in and check out. A man was sitting on the stairwell with a glaze over look (assuming on some kind of a drug) the second night; he left us with a very unsettling feeling. We got the impression this is more of a permanent residence for some of the guests. DO NOT LET ANY OF THE POSITIVE REVIEWS FOOL YOU LIKE THEY DID ME! I left a review on Choice Hotels' several days ago and the review has never been posted; maybe the bad reviews are filtered out? Thank goodness we were only here to sleep, but didn't get great sleep due to noise from other guests and the feeling oflack of saftey. When leaving on the last morning, someone has vomited outside of the side entrance door.

Never again I made reservations for my daughter and her friend to stay at this hotel for 1 night, while they were in town for a concert. They are 18 years old, and I made sure on both the hotel's website as well as the inforation on Travelocity, that the minimum age was 18 years old. This was important, otherwise we would not have agreed for them travel 3.5 hours away without a safe plan for a hotel to stay in for the night. The girls attempted to check in at the hotel and were promptly turned away and told that they have to be 21 years old, even though they explained that we checked this when making the reservations. They were upset and left the hotel. I sent them a screen shot and a copy of the reservation, which stated on both that 18yrs was the minimum check-in age. They brought the reservation in to show the lady working at the desk, and again they were told no. This time they were really upset and called me. They, once again, went back into the hotel with me on speakerphone. I explained the situation to the woman and expressed my frustration with having the information not only on the Travelocity webiste, but on the hotel's website as well! Both state 18 years old as the minimum check-in age!! The woman was, once again, rude and stated that 21 years old is their policy and "it's always been that way" and didn't seem to care that this was totally unacceptable and was going to put my daughter and her friend in an unsafe situation - as they were instead going to drive 3.5 hours home after the concert. The woman stated that "I guess I can call my GM" to see what he says. I had my daughter and her friend stay in the lobby until it was resolved, which eventually it was. She called the GM and he gave the OK for them to stay for the night. The woman was supposed to call me back with an update and never did. Also, as a side note, during the beginning of this situation, I called 5 different times and the phone just rang and rang. I'm pretty sure she saw the Area Code for Chicago and figured she'd avoid talking to the upset mom by simply not answering the phone. Needless to say, this was a horrible experience, the woman was horrible, and this could've ended up really badly. I'm happy they had a place to stay, but I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. *Side note* My daughter's friend's mother called the corporate office during this and spoke to someone there. They acknowledged that the age is supposed to be 18 years and that this was handled really horribly.

Terrible Experience Worst Experience ever. Called the hotel about the late arrival. Showed up just before 10pm and our room wasn't cleaned. Front desk staff talked to her boss and was asked to clean the room. Front desk was in room for over 40 minutes to clean the room. When we got into the room, there was hair in the shower and feces in the toilet so front desk staff didn't even clean the bathroom. Luckily we found another hotel to stay at for the night. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. If I could not give any stars, I would.

Disgusting, smokers roach motel Poop stain on the bath chair, stains on their nasty little scratchy towels. Flys and gnats in the smelly room, sink was even clogged. I would have rather stayed at my house that had no power! 12 days no power at home due to DERECHO! Couldn’t get my money back though! Never again!!!!
