Like Home Away From Home Rooms are nice with split floorplans available. Updated and modern feel. Had a corner unit with a terrace which I will aim for whenever we return to the area.

Melia Resort - the best alternative to park accommodation We have just returned from an amazing two week holiday in Melia Celebration. As previous visitors to a Melia (we have stayed in Sol Lanzarote many times), this year Melia Orlando provided us somewhere new, for less cost than Sol, but still with the guarantees of quality that come with a Melia stay. As first timers to Orlando (visiting from Ireland), whilst we didn't want to stay in the parks, we did want to be close, Melia is that, 10/15 mins to Disney, Epcot and Hollywood studios in an Uber and 25 mins (max) to Universal. Also the hotel itself is a 10 minute walk from many restaurants, Walgreens and alternative coffee shops. Plus only a 10 minute journey to the beautiful scenic town of Celebration. I simply cannot recommend Melia highly enough. Our accomodation (a family suite with two bedrooms, a full kitchen, sitting room, two bathrooms, three TVs) was perfect for down time. Beds were comfortable and the food was of exceptional quality. We chose to have the breakfast bundle and we were all well catered for, a big shout out to the amazing Matt, who would always check if your day involved a park visit, to ensure your breakfast was served timely and fresh. Gluten free options were plentiful for breakfast and the children themselves could chose anything from the menu, but were particularly fond of the pancake stacks and french toast. The breakfast time overall are lovely, professional and efficient. I wish I could recall more names, but one girl, who worked there every morning of our stay (I think her name was Oletta, honestly Melia Management, she is a star). The pool in Melia is clean, well furnished (sun loungers are a little uncomfortable), but overall minor complaint, my children loved it on down days. Loads of places to sit either in the sun or under shade and no matter what time of the day you arrived at the pool it was calm with plenty of options. There is entertainment on Saturday and Sundays and staff go out of their way to involve all, without impeding on you. Pool service and lunch food is a little slow, but oven pizza was a big hit amongst my gang. Adam, Javiar and alot of his colleagues in reception were super helpful, there as one very cranky lady, but to be fair she didn't take away from our sense that this overall team are brilliant and really care about their customers. In short, if you are looking for a beautiful, comfortable family space, excellent location, good food and an alternative to park life, go and book Melia Orlando, you won't be disappointed.

11 Night Holiday I would definately recommend this hotel. It is modern, upto date, clean. LOTS of free parking. We had an Kingsize room with kitchen area and living room area (just like in the pictures of the website). We upgraded from just a bedroom, so we had the facility to make ourselves food rather than eating out for every meal. It had a big fridge freezer, microwave, mini coffee filter machine and hob. Kitchen utensils were basic, but fine for us. Also had a toaster, but we asked for a kettle and then brought us an electric kettle. Bed was massive and you could have fresh linen and towels every day if you wanted, by leaving the appropriate tags. The whole room was a very very good size, and the settee was actually a bed setttee aswell. The balcony overlooked the main road / car park, but this did mean we didn't have to worry about people looking in from the pool side. I think this was more than we indended to pay really, and the additonal $36 tax per night on arrival was a stinger, however, it was worth it. Great pool, some sort of entertainment each day, laundry room, cabanas to be hired, poolside towels, water on arrival. Very close by (within walking distance!) there is a panera bread, walgreens, applebys, pewei, chickafila (being refurbished) plus a few others, and just a further 5 mins there is a publix. Would definately recommend.
