Avoid - old musty hotel First, I want to say the front desk staff was amazing. Very friendly, helpful, and personable. I prepaid two rooms through our USAA travel perks website. I think perhaps this is why we were given two old rooms on the first floor. One bathroom had ants on the floor. The rooms both smelled musty and when we turned on the AC, I could feel my respiratory system becoming irritated. My husband and I coughed most of the night even after turning off the AC. In hindsight, I would have gone with another hotel despite the good location. I could not check out of our room fast enough and am thankful we only booked one night. The renovations in this hotel appear to have been done to the lobby which is nice but did not extend to our first floor rooms.

Doesn't Seem Like A Courtyard The rooms were nice, the front desk was friendly. and the hotel was clean. There was no microwave in the room, had to go t the lobby--just an inconvenience. The laundry room was very dated; post Cenozoic, perhaps iron age.<s>. The refrigerator has a little button you have to push every 2 hours on the inside of the door. If you don't keep pushing it, the fridge turns off. Not helpful if you want to keep something cold all night. They advertise free wifi. I think its very deceptive to offer ~1990s AOL dial up speed for an Internet Connection and offer to provide meaningful Internet connectivity for an additional $4.95 per day. When asking about wifi passwords I was told: "There is none. If you have problems, we have a help desk number for you to call." As if I have time to mediate the Courtyard and Internet Helpdesk contract probono. If you're going to stay here and you're security minded, ask for the even number rooms. The even number rooms have patio doors opening into the inner courtyard. The odd number doors have patio doors opening to the parking lot where a break in could more easily occur. Like I said, the room was nice, the front desk was friendly; the hotel was just not what I was expecting in a Courtyard.

Short 2 day business trip Very convenient to where I needed to be. Shuttle to and from Dulles every 30 mins (by request). Very helpful staff couldnt do enough for you. No problem is too big. Clean rooms with adequate facilities. Late check out without asking or the usual "European hassles" or demanding extra $$. Enough places to eat within a short walk. Recommended and would stay again.

Airport Stopover I wanted to be near Dulles airport for my flight the next day. There is a free airport shuttle bus from Dulles (I had come in by plane). You need to turn right when you get down to the Ground Transportation area and go to the end where the Chantilly Courtyard shuttle bus picks up (check with reception as well). The hotel is well appointed and near a strip mall and a number of restaurants. The strip mall had an Aldi, liquor store, Subway, Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese restaurants and a nail bar. Check in was very efficient. In the morning I left my suitcase with reception after checking out and picked it up in time to get a shuttle bus back to the airport. The bathroom had a shower over the bath (US baths are much easier to get into!). My room was spacious with hair dryer, iron , ironing board and tea and coffee facilities.
