Basic, cheap, no frills! Okay for just a one night sleep on your road trip! My family with 3 children stayed here for just a night's sleep on our road trip. Don't expect much. No breakfast buffet. But they gave us honeybuns and coffee. The two double beds were provided. One of them was comfortable, but the other which my son and I slept on dipped and curved all toward the middle, so my son and I kept sliding toward the center of the bed all night and bumping into each other. So I guess it depends on which room and what beds they give you. a/c worked okay. the showers were fine, but the bathroom was a bit small and cramped.

Yikes. This place. Yikes. I’ve stayed in a variety of places all over and this ranks up there with some of the worst. To be fair, choosing to stay here was our fault. We didn’t make reservations anywhere and when we arrived, just about everything was sold out. This place had a room, however, and they allowed dogs. Pros: they had an available room. The water was hot. The mattress was decent. It had a mini fridge. The a/c drowned out about 60% of highway traffic. The outside was deceptively decent and appeared renovated. There is easy highway access, it’s a quick drive to Lookout Mountain, and it’s close-ish to the city center. Cons: our room was closest to the highway so we listened to trucks either zoom by or put their jake breaks on all night. It’s a small place so any room would have a similar experience. There were smoking rooms so our room smelled of smoke, too. The mattress cover was falling apart and pilling which you could feel through the sheets. There were no pillow cases on the pillows, and pillows were stained. The four legs at the foot of the bed frame did not touch the ground. To prevent rocking and movement every time we rolled over, we had to fold a towel 4 times and shove it under the legs. The faucets were loose and tiles were broken or buckling. The walls were thin and people walking above us shook our room. Staff was not rude but not particularly welcoming. We did not try the breakfast. The pool was closed but the water was bright-algae green and my husband swore he saw a turtle in there. Next time we will book somewhere else ahead of time.

Standard Reasonable rate negotiated on arrival, and pleasant enough staff. Non smoking room clearly wasn't until recently, smelly and lots of cig burns in the bedding. Bathroom was new and clean and pool although small clean and private. Standard.
