Guests are paying for amenities that are always out. Not cool. Before I talk about our disappointing experience, I’ll be fair to say that the room was spacious enough and they gave us extra beddings. The main reason I booked Extended Stay is the fact that there’s a kitchenette so I have an option to cook. However this particular Extended Stay didn’t have utensils for us. We were told to check the following day at noon. I think it’s ridiculous. We had traveled all day with our kids and everyone was too tired to go to a restaurant. And yet the hotel had no single utensil for us. The front desk actually said,”Sorry, we’re out.” My husband had to ask,”You mean to tell me that such a big hotel is out of even styrofoam cups? What about those which you plan to put out for breakfast?” That’s when the guy went and brought out 4 styrofoam cups for us (at least we were able to heat up some water for tea). Oh btw, we asked for a coffeemaker and they had none for us. Then, on our second night, they gave us one as well as a toaster. Please note that we’re a party of 4 on day 3 of our stay and they’ve eventually given us 2 dinner plates, 2 bowls, 1 mug, 3 cups, a blunt very rusty kitchen knife, 4 forks, 4 spoons, 2 saucepans, a frying pan, a couple of spatulas and a cutting board. We’re making do, but we shouldn’t have to. It’s very inconvenient for a guest to keep asking for amenities that the hotel should make available. After all, aren’t these amenities included in the price we paid upon booking? We reported the dishwasher wasn't working, and they said that they'd check. We got no feedback, and it's still not working. Oh, wait! Their grab-n-go breakfast is a joke. There’s literally nothing to grab and go. Yesterday we went for breakfast at 8:45am and we were told ,”We just ran out of coffee but I can get some muffins.” So the nice lady (who I assume was just following instructions) brought out some muffins. We thought ok maybe we came down late, so today we were there at 8am. Lo and behold, it was the same story! “We ran out.” And there was no coffee - just a thermos of hot water and some packets of chocolate (smh). Extended Stay America Corpus Christi, I get that you’re cutting costs, but this is cutting corners. Guests are paying for amenities that are always out. Not cool.

worst experience ever! I was not happy with extended stay on Staples in Corpus Christi. I booked on line and the price was 110 per night. I stayed June 2 - 7th. The nightly charges were not 110 but 144.95 Frid and Sat nights eadhy. 95.95 for Sunday night and 121 for Monday and Tuesday nites. Taxes on top of that...$110.00. AND they charged a $75 property fee. What the Heck?????!!! I also did not get any room service for cleaning while I was there. I asked for clean towels on the 3rd day and was told "we don't change linen except 1 per week because we are extended stay." I insisted on clean towels and was charged $10 FEE AND a $10 cleaning fee for coming in and changing out the towels and tucking in one side of my bed. They did not clean or vacuum. I could not go barefoot on carpet as it was filthy. My total bill was $745.00 for 5 nights PLUS $20 for towels and "cleaning". I would NOT recommend this place. Interestingly, the other set of grandparents also stayed (We were there for grandson's graduation).. They were in room 208,. stayed 4 nights and were charged $509 for 4 nights. That is the price I agreed to pay on my site...127 per night. The other thing that really bothered me was there were MANY spanish speaking men and oriental men staying there. The spanish speaking men stayed outside and congregated by their vehicles drinking and talking unitl after 11pm. I DID NOT feel safe coming back to the motel after dark. This was the worst experience I have every had staying in a motel ever! LD Tulsa, Ok

Won’t be staying here again. The list is long, so I’ll just name a few reasons that I will not return to this Extended Stay America. 1. Front desk NEVER answered the phone. 2. Check-in: No greeting, no instructions beyond telling me the elevator was broken. I had to ask where the stairs were. 3. No coffee anywhere (room or commons). No breakfast at all (breakfast was part of the reason I chose to stay there). I would have at least liked the muffins others mentioned in their reviews! And no warning there wasn’t going to be breakfast. I found out when I went down to look for it. 4. Bathroom light didn’t work. I told the front desk about it. She said ok. Didn’t ask what room. I offered that info and she again said ok. I wasn’t surprised that it didn’t get fixed. No one even offered a gesture of help. 5. Stairwell (remember, no elevators) trash cans overflowing (three days no change). Hallways lined with dog food and dirt entire stay...no change. 6. Although the sheets seemed clean and bed was neatly made, the rest of the room was just “yuck”. The kitchen sink was gross (see photo). I have no idea what was in the drain. I would overlook some of this for a $40 room, but $90/night? Nope. This was unacceptable. Even an older building like this can be kept clean and well managed. Staff was indifferent and unavailable. I visit Corpus often but I will never return to this establishment and will warn everyone I know about it.
